Meet The Author

David Dycus is the co-owner and driving force behind Dycus Heating and Air Conditioning, bringing nearly four decades of HVAC industry experience to every aspect of the company. His career in the trades began at just 17, fueled by a deep desire to master his craft and do the job the right way, without shortcuts. That commitment to quality, education, and integrity continues to shape the company today.

With a 4-year degree, studies at UC Berkeley, and formal teaching credentials, David has gone beyond hands-on work to help shape the next generation of technicians. He created HVAC curriculum and spent over four years teaching an apprenticeship program, combining technical expertise with real-world training. In 2001, alongside his wife Shaunna Dycus, he founded Dycus Heating and Air Conditioning as a locally owned, family-run business built on skill, fairness, and long-term customer trust, values that remain at the heart of the company today.
